WASHINGTON, Dec 16 (KUNA) -- The US Senate voted on Thursday evening passing a stopgap bill to avert a government shutdown that was set for Friday at midnight.
The vote on the bill was 71-19,which will keep the government funded through December 23.
The bill will go next to President Joe Biden's desk to be signed into law.
This comes after the House of Representatives passed the bill on Wednesday. (end)
