Kuwait parliament witnesses interpellation of public works minister

KUWAIT, Nov 29 (KUNA) -- Minister of Public Works Dr. Amani Bougammaz took to the parliament podium on Tuesday for interpellation over alleged irregularities and mismanagement in her department.
Bougammaz, also the Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, ascended to the platform at Abdullah Al-Salem Hall after expressing readiness to answer queries by the MP Hamdan Al-Azmi, who had filed the grilling motion over a host of issues and charges against the executive, including her alleged engagement in conflict of interests.
She is also accused of manipulation with public funds and breaching the principle of cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities. (pickup previous) jy.rk
