KUWAIT, Nov 23 (KUNA) -- Croatia were held to a goalless draw by Morocco at the Al Bayt Stadium on Wednesday in their opening Group F match at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Croatia, runners-up at the 2018 World Cup, were relatively better than Morocco, missing several chances saved by the Atlas Lions' goalkeeper Yassine Bounou.
Belgium will play Canada later today in their opening game in the same group.
Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani on Sunday inaugurated the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament, with the participation of 32 teams. (end) fsa.mt
