British official hopes to see increased Kuwaiti businesses in her nation

KUWAIT, Nov 21 (KUNA) -- A visiting British official on Monday expressed hope that Kuwait would increase investments in its nation where there are potentials to create a new income resource for Kuwaiti entrepreneurs.
Lord President of the Council and Leader of the House of Commons Penny Mordaunt, in an interview with KUNA, said she was elated with the reception accorded to her by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah for discussing mutual cooperation and the partnership between the two countries in diverse fields.
Lord Mordaunt said that she expressed gratitude to His Highness the prime minister for Kuwait's solidarity with Britain when Queen Elizabeth II passed away, and the good wishes extended to the new King Charles III.
The British official said that she discussed with the prime minister the partnership that has existed for long years at the defense and cyber security levels, adding that their discussions also dealt with cooperation in education and higher education, boasting the airlines with London and Manchester.
Elaborating, she added that her talks with the Kuwaiti officials during her visit addressed prospects of increasing cooperation in investments and the Kuwaiti businesses in her nation.
She noted that next year would mark the 70s anniversary of the London Investment Office, also noting that one of the key goals of her visit is to increase the investments in green technology. (end) ns.rk
