Kuwait prosecution oversees execution of 7 convicts

 KUWAIT, Nov 16 (KUNA) -- The Public Prosecution supervised early on Wednesday execution of seven persons convicted of premeditated murder and committing various other crimes.
The convicts, four Kuwaitis (three men and a woman), a Syrian, one Pakistani and a female Ethiopian, were executed at the Central Prison.
The prosecution said in a statement one of the Kuwaitis had committed two murders, possessed unlicensed firearms and ammunition. The other male citizen had been found guilty for perpetrated crime, possessing guns and ammunition without permits. He had also "used" a firearm in a residential district, drank alcohol in public and drove a vehicle after drinking.
The fourth male Kuwaiti was convicted of pre-planned killing, possessing and using unlicensed firearms and ammunition.
As to the female Kuwaiti, she was found guilty for premeditated crime. The convicted Syrian had taken hostages, killing a person and stealing his mobile phone.
The Pakistani had been also handed the death sentence for intentional killing and committing adultery. The Ethiopian woman was executed for intentional killing. (end) adh.rk
