Luxembourg scraps Covid-19 travel restrictions for non-EU citizens

BRUSSELS, Sept 29 (KUNA) -- Luxembourg Thursday announced that it will scrap all Covid-19 entry restrictions for non-EU passport holders living outside the bloc as from Saturday.
"From 1 October 2022, third-country nationals residing outside the European Union or the Schengen area can once again travel to the Grand Duchy for any kind of travel, including for non-essential travel (i.e. for tourist or other reasons), regardless of their vaccination status," the country's foreign ministry said in a statement.
Until now, non-EU passport holders living outside the bloc or the Schengen area have had to prove their journey to Luxembourg was essential or hold a vaccination certificate that was considered equivalent in Luxembourg. (end) nk.gb
