CAIRO, Sept 29 (KUNA) -- Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmad Aboul-Gheit praised on Thursday the role played by President of the Council of Arab Businesswomen Sheikha Dr. Hessa Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah to enhance the economic relations among the Arab countries.
In his inaugural speech to the Council's seventh General Assembly 2022-2026 at the League's Secrtariat, Aboul-Gheit stressed the importance role of the Arab businesswomen to enhance initiatives and achieving the desired targets of Arab economic integration.
He noted that the Arab league adoption to this meeting "reflects the keenness to build successful partnerships with civil community to support economic integration in all fields at all levels, in addition to investment, entrepreneurship and women's economic empowerment".
Aboul-Gheit reiterated that the Council of Arab Businesswomen "is an integration part of the Arab economic civil society institutions." On his part, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry evaluated the council's role in achieving sustainable development for what it represents in all fields of life, stressing the importance of private sectors in the Arab countries and its contribution In achieving growth and prosperity in the Arab world.
