Putin to sign annexation treaty with East Ukraine regions Friday

MOSCOW, Sept 29 (KUNA) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin will sign Friday a treaty annexing four east Ukraine regions, spokesperson of Russia Presidency Dmitry Peskov announced Thursday.
Peskov said Putin, who will be giving a lengthy speech, along with heads of the four regions of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia will be signing the treaty in the Kremlin.
Residents of these regions voted for separation from Ukraine in referendums held between 23rd and 27th September.
On another note, Peskov stated that damage done to Nord Stream line 1 and 2 was an act of sabotage.
Russia Federal Security Service opened "international terrorism" probe after the Nord Stream leak incident.
Nord Stream had announced two days ago a leak in the pipelines running through waters of Sweden and Denmark. (end) as.aai
