Kuwait tops list of Arab States investing in Jordan - Amb.

AMMAN, Sept 27 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti investments in Jordan reached USD 18 billion, making Kuwait the biggest Arab country investing the Hashemite Kingdom, Kuwaiti Ambassador in Amman Aziz Al-Daihani said Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of his participation in the Gulf-Jordanian economic forum which kicked off in Amman today, Al-Daihani hailed the deeply-rooted ties between the two Arab countries.
He expected that the forum would help strengthen partnership between the private sectors in Kuwait and Jordan.
The Kuwaiti envoy noted that the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) investments in Jordan are distributed in all economic and service sectors and significantly contribute to the Jordanian economy and create new job openings for Jordanians.
Earlier, Secretary General of the Gulf bloc Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf stated that size of trade exchange between GCC countries and Jordan during 2013-2020 reached USD 57 billion. (end) amn.ibi
