KBC lauds Kuwait's resolve to establish oil studies institute

DUBAI, Sept 26 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's determination to establish the largest institute for oil studies in the Middle East region comes in enhancement of the exerted efforts, which enabled several Kuwaiti young men to get distinguished training and research opportunities, Acting Chairman of Kuwait Business Council in Dubai and Northern Emirates (KBC) Feras Al-Salem said Monday.
This came in Al-Salem's speech he delivered in in the opening of the seventh edition of the Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA) Research and Innovation Conference in Dubai.
Kuwaiti young men will also acquire expertise at labor markets, Al-Salem added.
He spoke about the possibility to develop businesses for an innovative exemplary to maximize the benefit to the local economy.
He pointed to the interest of Kuwait's leaders of the oil and petrochemical industry in innovations, studies and sharing experiences.
This was activated through the establishment of the Petroleum Research Center of the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, through global partnerships in the petrochemical sector and oil projects outside Kuwait, he affirmed.
The two-day conference, which features several researchers, includes discussions on the new techniques implemented in the GCC companies working in this field. (end) smr.tb.hm
