KUWAIT, Sept 26 (KUNA) -- Minister of Information and Culture Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi Monday stressed the necessity for the National Assembly poll "2022" of meeting professionally and objectively the aspirations of citizens.
This came in a news statement made by spokesperson of the Ministry Anwar Murad during an inspecting tour by the minister to some sectors to be briefed on the final preparations for covering the parliament election.
Al-Mutairi, also Minister of State for Youth Affairs, said media covering of the poll is imperative to show Kuwait's media values and democracy.
The Studios 800 and 300 are designed for media coverage, in addition to the main communication center.
Visiting the media center for covering the election at St. Regis Hotel, the minister pointed out that covering the election is a clear indication that the planned strategy represents an umbrella of Kuwait's media work, and is characterized by transparency and great flexibility.
He listened to a detailed presentation on preparations of the ministry to cover this big event, lauding professional efforts and keenness on harnessing the ministry's energy to cope up with this democratic event.
Meanwhile, acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Information Muhammad bin Naji said, in a similar statement, that the mission of the center is to facilitate work of all local and international media outlets.
There would be cultural, social and tourist visits for local and foreign media correspondent to highlight this democratic event, he noted. (end) fz.nfa.hm
