MADRID, Sept 26 (KUNA) -- World Tourism Organization, on Monday, called for redefining tourism as the ways of the past cannot contribute to a better future.
This came in the General Director of the organization, Zurab Pololikashvili's annual letter on world tourism day, set to be celebrated tomorrow in Indonesia.
He stated that the occasion presents an opportunity to celebrate all the achievements the sector has achieved, especially in the midst of unprecedented growth in the sector.
Pololikashvili also commented saying that tourism sector was deeply affected by the pandemic, as tourism halted and international travel stopped, but it has also provided valuable lessons as it exposed weaknesses and highlighted where one could find flexibility.
