AIPU praises Saudi Arabia's role in prisoners' release

BEIRUT, Sept 23 (KUNA) -- The Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU) praised on Friday efforts of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman in facilitating the release of 10 prisoners in cooperation with the Russian and Ukrainian governments.
In a statement, the Union commended Saudi Arabia's role in resolving regional and international conflicts; thus reaffirming the values of peace.
Last Wednesday, the Saudi Foreign Affairs Ministry announced success of releasing 10 prisoners from various countries, as part of a prisoners' exchange deal between Russia and Ukraine. (end) ayb.maa.ahm
