Kuwait's new ambassador to Italy presents credentials

ROME, Sept 22 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's newly-appointed Ambassador to Italy Nasser Al-Qahtani presented his credentials to Italian President Sergio Mattarella during an official ceremony at the Quirinale presidential palace in Rome on Thursday.
Ambassador Al-Qahtani conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to the president, an embassy statement read.
The ambassador said Kuwait attaches "great pride" to its historical relations with Rome, stressing the importance of continuing to work to develop and expand bilateral cooperation. (end) mn.sd
