Pres. Al-Alimi: Yemeni gov't will not condone offending of Arab coalition

ADEN, Aug 13 (KUNA) -- President of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Rashad Al-Alimi stressed Saturday that the government would not condone offending or targeting the Saudi-led Arab coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen.
This came during Al-Alimi's meeting with Speaker of House of Representatives Sultan Al-Barakani and some MPs to discuss the latest preparations and situations to hold the sessions of the parliament in the temporary capital of Aden, Yemen news agency Saba reported.
Al-Alimi lauded the coalition's personnel for their sacrifices and brave stances in support of Yemen.
The House of Representatives, in cooperation with the government, continues to implement transitional duties outlined in the power transition declaration, despite big challenges, he said.
He underlined cohesion of the House and its abidance by the unity of ranks and consensus in the face of current challenges, and cooperation for restoring the State and ending the coup of Houthis militias.
The House is keen on avoiding any internal differences among the armed and security forces, and national powers rejecting the Houthi project, and on directing weapons against the common enemy, according to the agency.
The utmost priority is to reinforce security and stability of the temporary capital, Aden, and the liberated governorates, he said.
This will be done through unifying the armed and security forces under the umbrella of the defense and interior ministries to combat terrorism so as to face growing challenges, he elaborated. (end) sns.hm
