Egypt reiterates backing to Saudi Arabia against security threats

CAIRO, Aug 13 (KUNA) -- Egypt said on Saturday it stands side by side with Saudi Arabia in face of any threats to its security and stability.
In a press statement, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Egypt backs the kingdom in its fight against all forms of terrorism, violence and extremism, along with all measures it may take to safeguard its security and the safety of its citizens and residents.
The minister commended Saudi authorities' vigilance and ability to deal with a wanted terrorist, expressing swift recovery of the injured.
Saudi security authorities said Friday that a wanted terrorist had blown himself up, injuring a resident and three security men. (end) rg.mt
