GAZA, Aug 11 (KUNA) -- A Palestinian girl on Thursday died of serious wounds she had sustained in the recent Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip.
Lian Al-Sah'er, 10, succumbed to wounds at Al-Makassed Hospital in Jerusalem, where she was taken for necessary medical treatment, reported the Palestinian news agency (WAFA).
The latest fatality has now raised the death toll of the latest Israeli air raids on the Palestinian enclave to 48, including children, women and old people, while 260 others were injured.
The situation escalated in Gaza after Islamic Jihad Movement leaders had been killed in Israeli airstrikes last Friday. (end)
