Three Indian policemen killed while foiling attempt against army camp

NEW DELHI, Aug 11 (KUNA) -- Three soldiers and two militants were killed and two security officials seriously injured as an attempt to enter into an Indian army camp was foiled in Rajouri district of north Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, Indian police said Thursday.
"Someone tried to cross the fence of Army camp at Pargal. Sentry challenged and exchange of fire took place, leading to the killing of three security men and two militants," the Press Trust of India quoted Additional Director General of Police Mukesh Singh as saying.
Yesterday, Indian police announced killing of three militants in an encounter with security forces in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. New Delhi accuses Islamabad of supporting and funding the armed groups in Kashmir, claims which Islamabad denies. (end) atk.mt
