Egypt's Pres. mulls regional developments with Qatari Amir

CAIRO, Aug 9 (KUNA) -- Egyptian President Abdelfattah El-Sisi discussed Tuesday, via phone, with Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani the latest regional developments of common concern.
The two leaders pondered Arab synergy to overcome regional challenges, said Spokesman of the Egyptian Presidency Ambassador Bassam Rady.
They also underlined the strength of ties linking the two nations and the need to further mutual coordination and cooperation.
For his part, Qatari Amir commended the fraternal Qatari-Egyptian relation, stressing his country keenness on giving impetus for bilateral cooperation.
He appreciated Egypt's strenuous efforts to promote regional peace and security, notably its recent success in mediating a ceasefire agreement between Palestinian factions in Gaza and Israel. (end) aff.ibi
