Blast in Kabul kills 3, wounds 7

ISLAMABAD, Aug 6 (KUNA) -- At least three people were killed and seven others received injuries in a blast that took place in Afghanistanآ’s capital city Kabul on Saturday, said Afghan official.
According to commander of the Police District 6 Mawlawi Zabihullah, three people lost their lives while seven others were injured in Kabul's Pol-e-Sukhta area. The explosives were put in a pot on the side of the road in a busy shopping street.
No group has so far claimed responsibility for the blast.
Earlier on Friday, the so -called Islamic State (IS) or Daesh group claimed responsibility for a blast that took place close to todayآ’s blast killing at least eight people and wounding 18 others. The two attacks occurred days after US President Joe Biden confirmed the killing of Al-Qaeda leader Ayman Al Zawahri in a United States military drone strike in Afghanistan. (end) sbk.ibi
