GAZA, Aug 5 (KUNA) -- At least eight Palestinians, including a 5-year-old girl, were killed and 44 others injured in the latest wave of Israeli air attacks on the besieged Gaza Strip.
Spokesman of the Palestinian health authorities in the Strip Ashraf Al-Qodrah said Friday evening the airstrikes targeted several apartment buildings, including Palestine Tower in downtown Gaza city and other sites belonging to Islamic Jihad movement.
Meanwhile, Al-Quds Brigades (AQB), the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, confirmed that Tayseer Jabari, its military commander in the northern region of Gaza Strip, was martyred in an Israeli airstrike on downtown Gaza city. (pickup previous)
