Israeli court puts Jerusalem Governor under house arrest

RAMALLAH, Aug 4 (KUNA) -- The Israeli occupation district court issued a ruling on Thursday to place Jerusalem Governor Adnan Ghaith under an open-ended house arrest and fined him USD 8,000.
In a press release, Jerusalem Governorate said such court rulings aims to impose illegitimate jurisdiction over the occupied city of Jerusalem and tamper with the national and historical identity of its people.
The occupation forces detained Jerusalem's Governor last Sunday for violating the ruling issued against him for entering the West Bank. (end) nq.maa.ahm
