Lebanese Pres. reiterates vow to get justice in Beirut port explosion

BEIRUT, Aug 4 (KUNA) -- President Michel Aoun on Thursday confirmed his commitment to get justice for the victims of Beirut port explosion.
Marking the second anniversary of the August 4 tragedy, Aoun wrote on his Twitter account that he shares grief with families of the victims and injured.
He assured them of his commitment to achieve justice based on complete truth through an impartial judicial process that goes to the end, away from any fraud or injustice.
The president pledged to hold accountable everyone who is proven to be involved, because no one is above the law.
The authorities in Lebanon declared the anniversary of the explosion a day of national mourning, in which public institutions, administrations, municipalities, banks and several commercial establishments closed. (end) ayb.lr
