NATO chief calls for more military support for Ukraine

BRUSSELS, Aug 2 (KUNA) -- NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg Tuesday spoke by phone with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and discussed priorities for military support.
In a tweet today, Stoltenberg said he had a "good call" with Zelenskyy and stressed that "itآ’s vital that NATO & Allies provide even more assistance to Ukraine even faster".
Stoltenberg said they also discussed the first shipment of grain since Russiaآ’s invasion and the need to fully implement the deal sponsored by the UN and NATO member Turkiye.
Media reports said the first shipment of Ukrainian grain to be shipped since a deal was struck between Ukraine and Russia left the port of Odesa on Monday morning, bound for Lebanon. (end) nk.mt
