PARIS, July 28 (KUNA) -- Saudi Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Mohammad bin Salman arrived at the Elysee Palace on Thursday for talks with French President Emmanuel Macron at a dinner meeting.
The talks are expected to focus on the rising energy prices and the food crisis in the Middle East resulting from the war in Ukraine as well as the worries related to Iran's nuclear program, the BFM TV channel reported, citing Elysee sources.
Both sides will also discuss the latest developments of the situations in Yemen and Lebanon, and ways to promote cooperation in various fields, the sources added.
As part of his European trip, Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman concluded an official visit to Greece yesterday, where he signed agreements on cooperation in economic, scientific, technological, healthcare, military and security areas. France, one of the biggest trade partners of Saudi Arabia, has direct investments in the Kingdom amounting to EUR three billion (nearly USD 3.04 billion), while the Saudi investments top EUR 500 million (USD 507 million).
