Arab Parliament mission admires Tunisia constitutional referendum

TUNISIA, July 25 (KUNA) -- Arab Parliament mission of monitors praised on Monday the referendum on the new constitution of Tunisia, as trasparent and orderly.
The participation of the Arab Parliament in monitoring this referendum reflects the parliament's keenness on ensuring integrity of the electoral process across the Arab countries, said Issa Al-Nasr, member of the mission.
On his part, Tariq Naseer, another member of the mission, said the low turnout signals a lack of enthusiasm among voters, despite the great organization of the electoral process.
Earlier today, Tunisians began casting their votes on whether to accept a new constitution put forward by President Kais Saied. (end) ksj.mah
