Kuwaiti para-athletes bag seven medals at Tunis Grand Prix

TUNIS, June 29 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's national Paralympic team won two gold, two silver and three bronze medals at Tunis 2022 World Para Athletics - Grand Prix on Wednesday.
Faisal Sorour won the gold medal of the Men's Shot Put Throw, while Abdullah Al-Enzi won gold in the 100 m. race.
Hamad Hejji won the silver medal of the Men's Discus Throw, while Abdullah Al-Herz won the silver medal of the Shot Put event.
In the Men's 400 m. race, Abdulaziz Al-Shimmeri won the bronze medal, while Rowan Al-Anzi stared in the females' races, bagging two bronze medals in the 400 m. and 1,500 m. events.
Member of Kuwait Paralympic Committee Fahad Al-Mutairi congratulated the medalists, praising the level of the Kuwaiti team.
The two-day championship, being held at Olympic Athletics Stadium in the port city of Rades, northeast Tunisia, gathered 300 para-athletes from 27 countries. (end) ksj.gb
