Car bombing kills six people S. Yemen

ADEN, June 29 (KUNA) -- A booby-trapped car blew up when the convoy of Director of Lahij Security Dept. Maj.-Gen. Saleh Al-Sayyed was passing by in Khur Maksar District, Aden governorate, south Yemen, on Wednesday.
The terrorist operation killed six people and injured seven others, Minister of Information Muammar Al-Eryani said in a press release.
The senior security officer survived the terrorist attack unharmed but four of his entourage were killed alongside with two civilian passersby, the minister noted.
Al-Eryani urged the security services to double their efforts and mobilize their potentials in the face of the terrorism particularly in the recently liberated areas.
The minister noted that the mounting terrorist activities since the truce took force signal close coordination between the Houthi militias, on one hand, and Al-Qaeda and the so-called Islamic State (IS), on the other. (end) sns.gb
