ADEN, June 29 (KUNA) -- Some 100 displaced Yemeni families inhabited on Wednesday homes funded by a Kuwait-based charity in the war-torn nation's western Hodeidah province.
The village is comprised of 100 units that are fully equipped to accommodate the impoverished families, said Imad Abdulrahim, the deputy chief of the Yemen-based Al-Twasul for Human Development, the architect behind the project.
He went on to thank Kuwait for the outpouring of humanitarian aid it has provided the Yemeni people, citing the new village as among the most significant humanitarian initiatives aiming to lift these families out of penury. (end) sns.nam
