Iraq declares cholera death case

BAGHDAD, June 28 (KUNA) -- Iraq declared on Tuesday recording the first cholera death since recent times putting the whole count of the latest wave of this epidemic cases at 76 in all of the country's provinces.
Spokesperson of the Ministry of Health Dr. Saif Badr said in remarks to the state-run television station that the first death case was recorded in Kirkuk governorate, adding that today's count of the cases reached 17, thus the whole tally throughout the country hit 76.
Dr. Badr reminded the public of the necessity of cleanliness and ensuring that drinking water is safe for use. (end) ahh.rk
