EU supports UN envoy to Yemen peace efforts

ADEN, June 27 (KUNA) -- The European Union (EU) Delegation to Yemen assured on Monday its continuous support to the United National (UN) Special Envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg in this "critical time of current peace efforts taking place in the country." The truce has its fruitful impact in alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people, a statement issued by EU missions and accredited member nations in Yemen said today.
It called on Houthis to involve positively with Grundberg and his suggestions regarding the re-opening of roads, especially around Taiz, located in southeastern parts of the country.
EU will continue to work with all parties in Yemen, with its total support to the UN Envoy there for a comprehensive and fair political settlement for the conflict. (end) ns.lb
