MOSCOW, June 26 (KUNA) -- The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Saturday full control of the city of Severodonetsk and a number of towns east of Ukraine.
In a statement, the ministry said "all territory on the left bank of the Donets river within the limits of the Lugansk region is under control" of Russian and pro-Russian forces.
The statement also noted that along with the city of Severodonetsk, nearby villages Borivske, Voronove and Syrotyne were also under Russian forces.
The city of Severodonetsk is considered a big development after the fall of Mariupol city last month. (end)
