MOSCOW, June 25 (KUNA) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin announced Saturday that his country will supply its neighboring ally Belarus with Iskander-M rocket systems in the coming months.
"In the coming months, we will supply Belarus with Iskander-M rocket tactical systems which, as it is known, can use both ballistic and cruise missiles both in the standard and nuclear modifications," Putin said at the opening of talks with visiting Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko today.
The Russian leader added that Russian and Belarusian defense ministers and chiefs of staff would work through all the details related to this issue soon.
"I agree absolutely," said Lukashenko.
"It's a deal," concluded Putin. (end)
