Morocco reports first case of Monkeypox - health ministry

RABAT, June 2 (KUNA) -- Morocco reported on Thursday its first case of monkeypox, in a traveler coming from Europe, said the Moroccan health ministry.
In a statement, the ministry affirmed that the patient is in a stable condition.
The statement added that the health authorities, immediately upon the announcement of the confirmed case, initiated epidemiological investigations in order to prevent the spread of the virus in accordance with national and international safety standards. (end) mry.aa
