BRUSSELS, May 24 (KUNA) -- The European Union on Tuesday announced 500 million euro (USD 535 million) additional military support for Ukraine, thereby bringing the total amount to two billion euro (USD 2.1 billion).
"With these EUR 500 million euro, the EU has allocated a total EUR 2 of billion euro to support EU member states' supplies of military equipment to the Ukrainian Armed Forces," said Josep Borrell, EU High Representative, in a statement.
In a related development, the EU adopted today a regulation allowing for temporary trade liberalisation and other trade concessions with regard to Ukrainian products.
This means that for one year import duties on all Ukrainian exports to the European Union will not be due, said an EU statement. (end)
