Registration for KUNA training program of KU students has begun

KUWAIT, May 24 (KUNA) -- Professor of Media and Public Relations at the Media Department at Kuwait University (KU), Dr. Ahmad Al-Kandari announced, Tuesday, the return of the cooperation program between the KU Media Department and KUNA Training Center after a two-year hiatus due to Covid-19 pandemic.
In a Statement, Al-Kandari said that the students training program during summer vacation aims to develop students' skills and abilities, qualify them for the job market after graduation, in addition to gaining media and journalistic experiences for future career.
The program which KUNA offer for the seventh year is one of the social responsibility programs and a contribution from KUNA to participate in implementing and activating the programs of the state's development plan for the development of human resources, especially the youth category, he said.
KU administration seeks to build partnerships, cooperation and exchange of opportunities and experiences with all institutions inside and outside Kuwait in a various fields with the aim of promoting and developing scientific research and academic education, developing the capabilities and scientific and practical experiences of all its members from the academic, administrative and student, he added This program is specially designed for KU in majors of media, Arabic language, English, French, political science and economics). Among the conditions for joining the program is that the student's general GPA is not less than three points and that student should be at senior year.
The program will kick off following the end of summer course, from Aug 21 to Sept 24. (end) mak.sam
