Up to 2 people dead, dozens wounded in Michigan tornado

WASHINGTON, May 21 (KUNA) -- Up to two people were dead and 44 others wounded in a tornado that struck northern Michigan, media outlets reported Saturday.
The tornado resulted in massive damage and left over 6,000 people without power.
The Governor of Michigan Gretchen Whitmer tweeted that she has declared a state of emergency in Ostego County.
According to the Weather Channel, "the once-in-a-generation tornado for northern Lower Michigan was preliminarily rated EF3 (Enhanced Fujita Scale) with estimated winds of 140 mph by the National Weather Service". (end) si
