BEIRUT, May 15 (KUNA) -- Lebanese voters went to the polls at 07:00 am on Sunday from all regions to choose 128 representatives who will form the parliament for the next four years amid strict security measures.
Lebanon's Prime Minister Najib Mikati casted his vote in the northern city of Tripoli, saying that the state prepared for this occasion.
The total number of voters was 3,746,483 distributed among 15 electoral districts, according to the Ministry of Interior.
Beirut's first district has six lists and Beirut's second district has nine lists.
Up to 142,000 members of the Lebanese diaspora around the world voted in the past few days, and after the end of the electoral process, their votes would be counted with the votes of citizens in Lebanon. (end) ayb.lr
