Borrell: Putin and Lavrov on EU's sanctions list

BRUSSELS, Feb 25 (KUNA) -- European Union High Representative Josep Borrell Friday revealed that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will be on the EU sanctions list if the EU Foreign Ministers agree.
"The decision will be taken by the (Foreign Affairs ) Council in some moments," he told reporters ahead of the Extraordinary EU Foreign Affairs Council, taking place this afternoon in Brussels.
"Yesterday, the European Council (EU summit) discussed about it and since there was not a clear consensus about it, they charged me and the (Foreign Affairs) Council to look for a solution," he said.
"If there are no surprises and nobody objects as we require unanimity, yes Putin and Lavrov will be on the list," he said. (end) nk.mb
