CAIRO, Feb 1 (KUNA) -- Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri affirmed, Tuesday, his country's support to Palestinian efforts in enhancing the Palestinian situation on all political and economic fronts to accomplish developmental requirements.
This came during meeting between Minister Shukri and treasurer of Fatah's central committee treasurer, Lieutenant-General Jibril Al-Rjoub, as per the Egyptian Foreign Ministry statement.
The statement added that Shukri further reaffirmed the necessity of creating the proper climate to revive negotiations between the Palestinian and Israeli sides and achieving aspirations of Palestinian people of attaining their legitimate rights.
He also indicated that the support aims to assist the Palestinian people in establishing their independent country according to the 1967 demarcation, with Eastern Quds as its capital in compliance with all legitimate international resolutions.
The statement illustrated that Al-Rjoub updated with Shukri latest developments in Palestinian lands and the challenges they are facing.
He also delved into opportunities of propelling the political process and communicating with parties concerned with the Palestinian issue.
Al-Rjoub expressed appreciation for the Egyptian role in bolstering the Palestinian issue and people, including the pivotal role of Egypt in accomplishing the desired national reconciliation. (end)
