RIYADH, Jan 19 (KUNA) -- South Korean President Moon Jae-in and Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf stressed, on Wednesday, the importance of strengthening deep partnership between South Korea and the GCC states.
During a reception held at the residence of the South Korean President in Riyadh, both sides welcomed the resumption of the free trade agreement and its terms of negotiation references, the GCC General Secretariat said in a statement.
Dr. Al-Hajraf and President Moon Jae-in also reviewed bilateral relations and cooperation in various vital sectors, such as economy, investment, trade and culture.
They also discussed ways to strengthen strategic partnership in the fields of renewable energy, defense industry, health care, and digital education to serve the common interests of the two countries, in addition to latest developments on the regional and international levels.
Al-Hajraf expressed the importance and depth of the Gulf-Korean relations and the keenness to develop and strengthen them, in line with the directives of the leaders of the GCC states. (end) mdm.nhq
