DOHA, Dec 7 (KUNA) -- The Algerian and the Egyptian national soccer squads drew 1-1 on Tuesday in a Group D showdown of the 2021 FIFA Arab Cup with both teams forging ahead into the quarterfinals.
The game, hosted by Al Janoub Stadium as part of the third round of Group D, saw Mohammad Lamin scoring the opener for Algeria at minute 19 while Amr El Solia equalized at minute 60.
Both team qualified for the quarterfinals with each of them having seven points.
In another game of the same group, held at Education City Stadium, Lebanon defeated Sudan 1-0, with both of them quitting the competition. (end)
