KUWAIT, Dec 5 (KUNA) -- Minister of Health Sheikh Dr. Basel Al-Humoud Al-Sabah declared Sunday the launching of mobile application dubbed (Q8 Seha), stating that it would provide all types of tests, x-ray reports done in public healthcare sector.
Minister Al-Sabah mentioned that 70 percent of tests will be available and the rest will follow in upcoming months, and added that this will be in collaboration with Kuwait Mobile ID application in order to ensure identity of users as the information provided is quite sensitive, this came on sideline of inaugurating Fnaitees Medical Center.
On Fnaitees center, Dr. Al-Sabah commented that it will be servicing residents of the area and is considered center number 107 in all of Kuwait. He also mentioned that it includes several types of clinics, a laboratory, a workshop, nursing rooms and administration.
Minister Al-Sabah added that several other projects will be launched, including another center in Fnaitees.
On his part, Director of Al-Ahmadi medical area Dr. Ahmad Al-Shatti stated that Fnaitees Medical Center is the 30th in Al-Ahmadi area and eighth in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate.
He clarified that the center will only be open during the morning period as this is only the preliminary launch and will include primary medical care, three clinics and dressing rooms for children, women and men.
He also touched on pharmacy preparations and stated that the upcoming phase will include expansion in specialized clinics including diabetes clinic, chronic illness clinics, maternity and infancy clinics, as well as labs.
Dr. Al-Shatti clarified that a dentistry unit will be available in upcoming stages, stating that opening of medical centers reflects belief in importance of primary medical care, expressing pride in the number of medical centers in Kuwait. (end)
