Kuwait MoH: COVID-19 vaccine booster shot, improves immunity, decreases infections
KUWAIT, Nov 22 (KUNA) -- The official spokesperson of the Kuwaiti Health Ministry Dr. Abduallah Al-Sanad stressed, Monday, the importance of receiving the third coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccine booster shot to improve the immunity system and decrease the number of infections.
The booster shot, offered to ages 18 and above, are now available without any scheduled appointments, and they should be taken after a period of no less than six months of receiving the second vaccine shot, he added.
Meanwhile, individuals immunity deficiency and cancer patients should receive the third shot in a period of less than six months of receiving the second shot after the required medical evaluation, he affirmed.
The national COVID-19 vaccination campaign continues offering its services in Kuwait vaccination center in the International Exhibition Halls of Mishref area, he said, adding that halls 5 and 6 offer vaccination from Sunday to Thursday, starting from 9:00 a.m. till 7:00 p.m. local-time, and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. till 4:00 P.m.
