1963 -- The Amir Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah signed decree forming the Higher Council for Civil Aviation to map out the state strategy within this sector.

1987 -- A explosion occurred at the Pan American (Pan Am) airway's office in Kuwait, resulting in property damages only.
