KUWAIT, Oct 22 (KUNA) -- 1938 -- Kuwaiti Amir Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah establishes an orphanage.
1960 -- Kuwaiti Amir Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah issues a law decree to establish the credit bank.
1961 -- Kuwaiti Amir Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah issues a law decree on the establishment of Kuwait Flour Mills and Bakeries Company.
1973 - Kuwait sends a squadron of Hunter jets to Egypt during the October 1973.
1986 -- Kuwaiti oil tanker "Al-Fayhaa" is hit with a rocket from a gunboat off the coast of Dubai.
1990 -- Kuwaiti Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah tours permanent member states of the United Nations Security Council discussing the Iraqi occupation of Kuwait.
1997 - The Public Authority for Housing Welfare signs a contract allowing the private sector to execute housing projects on state-owned land.
2002 -- Kuwait Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah awards King Mohammed VI of Morocco Mubarak Al-Kabeer Medal in appreciation for Morocco's support of Kuwait's causes. The Monarch, in response, granted the Amir Al-Mohammadi Medal.
2008 -- The sixth director of the State Audit Bureau, Barrak Khalid Al-Marzouq, passes away at the age of 69.
2010 -- Kuwait and Saudi Arabia agree to allow their citizens to travel between the two countries using their identity cards instead of passports.
2012 -- Kuwaiti Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah issues a law decree allowing Kuwait Airways to become a shareholding company. (end) mt
