Saudi FM, EU envoy discuss Iran's nuclear program

RIYADH, Oct 21 (KUNA) -- Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan al-Saud received on Thursday Enrique Mora, chief of staff of the EU High Representative and EU coordinator of Iran nuclear talks.

Both sides reviewed the latest developments of the Iranian nuclear program, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
They also reviewed the efforts to revive the talks between Iran and the P4+1, and to ensure Iran compliance with international pacts in this regard.
They also discussed the joint action to counter the Iranian support to terrorism that poses threats to the stability and security of the Middle East and the world at large, according to a report the SPA report.
The talks between Iran, on one hand, and the P4+1 (four UN Security Council members and Germany), on the other, have been at a stalemate since the end of the second term of Iran's former president Hasan Rouhani in last June. The US quit the former P5+1 group and the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) on May 8, 2018. (end) mdm.gb
