Saudi, US military top brass discuss defense cooperation

RIYADH, Oct 21 (KUNA) -- Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Lt.-Gen. Fayyad bin Hamid Al-Ruwaili received Commander of the US Central Command Gen. Kenneth F. McKenzie, Jr. at King Salman Base in the Central Sector on Thursday.
During the meeting, they discussed aspects of cooperation between the two friendly countries, especially in the defense field, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
They reviewed issues of common interest and ways to support the security and stability of the region.
The meeting gathered a number of senior officers from both sides, according to the SPA report. (end) mdm.gb
