Blasts rock US military base in Syria -- SANA

AMMAN, Oct 20 (KUNA) -- The US military base in Al-Tanf near Syria's borders with Jordan and Iraq came under a missile attack from unknown drones on Wednesday.
A senior officer at the US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed the missile attack without identifying the culprits, the Syrian Arab news Agency (SANA) reported.
Blasts were heard from the military base "belonging to the US occupation," according to the report.
The US military base, also known as Al-Tanf Garrison (ATG), was set up in 2014 in the framework of campaign of the US-led global coalition against the so-called Islamic State organization. (end) mjb.gb
