Kuwait lists 38 new COVID-19 cases, one death

KUWAIT, Sept 22 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's daily coronavirus cases rose by 38 to 411,316 as deaths increased by one to 2,442, the health ministry said on Wednesday.
Another 58 people were cured of the virus, raising the total of those to have overcome the disease to 408,159, according to ministry spokesperson Dr. Abdallah Al-Sanad in a statement.
The number of people hospitalised with the virus at COVID-19 wards is 46, with 14 of them in intensive care units, he added, revealing that another 715 are receiving regular treatment.
Some 15,197 swab tests were conducted over the last day out of a total of 4,106,607, mentioned the official.
He went on to urge nationals and expatriates alike that abiding by health precautions, mainly, following social distancing rules, is the only way to halt the spread of the virus. (end) mrf.sd
